IMAGINARY LANDSCAPES
The imaginary landscapes are color and value compositions that start randomly and gradually take some sort of shape on the paper and in my imagination. Sometimes they seem to emerge out of the blue and sometimes they start from a real place or a solid shape in front of me or in my head. After that point, there is some purpose to the painting strokes and the choices of value, color, and opacity or transparency. But often, they seem to create themselves.
Making them is play, meditation and breath.
